The other day I was watching “Extreme Weight Loss” on the TV. The young girl on the show had reached out to the show’s producers for help losing weight. She was chosen to receive any assistance she needed to reach her goal weight within a year, including having the trainer move in with her. The first task she was given was to run the distance between two life guard watch stations on the beach. Considering her physical condition, she knew it would be a challenge. But it was not her body that broke down first, it was her emotions. You see she had been give up for adoption at birth and her whole life she lived with the weight of rejection. She found herself raging on that beach as the pain of rejection surfaced.
How many of us are walking around carrying the weight of rejection? We all at one time, or in most cases many times, have experienced rejection. Yes it hurts and at time it can seem debilitating. But Jesus’ love can set you free. Jesus knows your pain for He Himself experienced rejection. With ever snap of the whip, He bore your rejection and pain so that you could live free. Let Jesus heal the wounds that rejection has caused in your life. Let go and cry out to God, He has always been there waiting for you to release the pain to Him.
Wholeness is yours today if you want it. Holding onto the pain of rejection will only keep you in darkness.
“Lord, for all who have been rejected, allow your love to flow over their wounds. I speak healing and restoration over you today. Spirit of rejection, you have to go in Jesus name. Today, in Jesus name, you are made whole. You walk in the knowledge that you are loved, that you are special and wonderfully made and that you have a purpose. In Jesus name, Amen.”
“You are a chose generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” 1Peter 2:9 NKJV
